Universal Indie Sign’s It’s First West Coast Artist, Mac Fetti

UniversaL Indie Records has signed it’s first West Coast artist ever, San Diego rapper and singer Mac Fetti. Born and raised in San Diego, California, Mac Fetti (Born Charles David Vann Jr.) is the eldest of five boys who grew up in a single parent home. The harsh gang activity that loomed around him as a child helped propel him as he approached his teenage years.

At the age of thirteen, he began to write and record his first songs with a small group of neighborhood kids. His visions of success started early by using his life experiences, strong will, and determination to establish himself as an artist just from mere poems he wrote. Those poems were then transferred into songs bringing light to his creativity. With such musical influences as Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg, N.W.A ., U.G.K., Ghetto Boys, 8 Ball & MJG, Big Daddy Kane, Notorious B.I.G., Roger Troutman, George Clinton, and various R&B artists, Mac Fetti studied music and learned how to develop his delivery. After years of practice and positive influence, he released his debut album Fetti Chasing in the fall of 2009. This album introduced his raw, west coast style and lyrical prowess.

His immense versatility as a rapper and singer has helped him push the envelope to capture the minds and ears of many. It is safe to say that this artist is the real deal and not just your average rapper. From songwriting to performing, he definitely puts in the hard work, and it shows in his music. His wide range of talent and lyrical appeal is just warming up so be prepared for a rude awakening.
