Universal Indie introduces the first social media collaborative hip hop album

New York, NY – Do you ever wonder what it would sound like if you could hand pick from every artist that tweets “Listen To My Song” or puts his latest verse/video on your FB timeline? Well the squad over at Universal Indie Records has devised a plan, a TEAM, an experiment that with time will tell if these rappers have what it takes to be….. a rapper.

The production chores will be handled in-house by Hoodgrown Productions, every verse and some of the chorus’ will be contributed by rappers who have interacted with us through Twitter, Facebook and blogs to a lesser extent.

Universal Indie will post a new track on it’s website each week for download. Artists will complete a verse and send it back in which the label will choose the 3 best verses to complete that song. The pattern will be repeated until 12 songs have been recorded in which the project will then be marketed and distributed by Universal Indie via datpiff, livemixtapes, etc around Thanksgiving!

So all you rappers crying that no one will listen to your music, kinda like the dude that hi-jacked Bow Wow’s twitter, will now have an opportunity to SHOW YOUR SKILLS! If you have what it takes to step to the plate and be apart of THE TEAM then check out this weeks track.
